i decided, after a little hesitation, to start a “blog”. why the quotes? frankly, back in my day (i.e 1995) a “blog” was nothing more than a home page, but i guess these youngings need to feel like they were the ones that invented fire. and perhaps that’s the way things should be. all generations need to feel like the things they use, the things they value, are unique, new. who am i to disagree? after all, i am guilty of the same crime.

Depuis quelques années, de plus en plus d’industries traditionnelles adoptent la gestion informatique des données. Dans cette révolution de l’information, il manque encore la gestion de l’environnement (GE). Aujourd’hui, alors que la GE atteint la maturité théorique nécessaire pour avoir des impacts pratiques et lucratifs dans l’industrie, le manque de solutions logicielles retarde l’utilisation de pratiques prenant en compte l’environnement, telle l’évaluation du cycle de vie.

A good year to you, my dear friends. It has been a long time since you have heard from me, and you have no doubt worried about my health and situation. Well, after many weeks, I have finally come into civilized territory. Now I hope to relate to you my experiences in Ultra-Mar.
